About Gonzales Law

The Full Story

R. Nathan Gonzales's extensive experience as a police officer, detective, and sergeant provides him with a unique perspective and deep understanding of law enforcement procedures.  After 7 years of service on the police force, he decided to further his career in law, earning his law degree.  He then served as an Assistant District Attorney and as a District Attorney before establishing his own law firm, Gonzales Law, in 2003.

Before law school, Nathan was a protector and a guardian for those in need.  As a police officer, Nathan learned the importance of taking a moment to assess a situation and consider how he would want to be approached.  This skill has proven invaluable in law school, giving him a unique perspective and approach.

Nathan believed that the natural progression of his studies would lead him to a career in law enforcement.  Ultimately, he wanted to continue providing service to his community.  He enjoyed working in law enforcement but wanted to find more work-life balance with his career.

There is so much you can do (with a law degree) to help people.  He knew what it took to charge someone and gather evidence.  Then he learned what happens between when someone is booked and their sentencing.

Nathan's experiences have helped him hone his abilities and interests.  He helps defend those who have had negative interactions with the police and the legal system.  These experiences served as a lens through which Nathan viewed the systemic failures of the criminal justice system in the United States.  He witnessed how the judicial process can hinder rehabilitation and restrict the success of those involved in crime, providing him with a unique perspective and approach that he brings to his work as an attorney.

Nathan's commitment to his work is unwavering.  He applies the skills he learned as a police officer, understanding how volatile situations can quickly become life-altering.  This commitment is a testament to his dedication to his work.  As an attorney, he has evolved into the kind of advocate you would want on your team, ready to fight for your rights and justice.
